Dave and Char Gibson

Owners

Dave has been in the automotive industry professionally since 1983. He spent the first 18 years of his career with Toyota, achieving Master Technician status, and went on to work with Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge, where he earned Level 4 status in their diesel, electrical, engine, and drivability categories. Dave has also worked as a technician for two very reputable independent auto repair shops, servicing all makes and models of cars and trucks.

Dave and Char have been married for 30 years, have two awesome sons (Ty and DJ), and two even more awesome grandbabies (Clark and Sadie).

DJ Gibson

Manager

DJ is our front counter person and is the first face you will see when you walk through the doors at H.I.S. Automotive.

DJ has been with us since 2013 and is also the manager of our business and is learning what it takes to be a business owner to someday take over operations here at H.I.S. Automotive.

He has two children, Clark and Sadie whom he loves spending time with. He enjoys his time working out with Clark in the gym and Sadie has his artistic ability that they love to share and also spend time working in the garden together.

DJ says he thinks one of his greatest strengths is his ability to relieve anxiety when it comes to having your automobile repaired, with his ability to communicate with pretty much anyone, at any age, on any level.

A couple of things he enjoys his 1975 AMC Gremlin that he has taken and is building into a pretty fast street hot rod and his 1988 short school bus that he is in the process of converting into a camping vehicle.

Beside his vehicles DJ say's what he enjoys most is spending time with his children and being outdoors in the woods on a good hike to a waterfall or just enjoy the scenery.

We are very Fortunate to have DJ with us and look forward to his progress and what the future holds for him and H.I.S. Automotive Services.

Tim Wells

Lead Technician

Tim comes to H.I.S. Automotive Services from the coast and has been with us since 2013. He is very high-energy and family-oriented, loving his kids, 4/4 mud bogs, and obstacle courses. He and his brother compete with a vehicle they built together.

 With over 20 years of experience as an auto repair technician working on Toyota, Chrysler, and various makes and models, Tim is a great asset to our team as we move forward and grow. Easy-going and approachable, he is also ready to step in when a customer needs a ride, an answer, an explanation, or just about anything.

Chris Mentzer

Technician

Chris, also a member of our team and family here at H.I.S. Automotive. Chris is a locally grown young man who attended Lane Community College and earned his degree in Automotive Technology.

Chris and his wife, Leta,  have two sons. Chris loves to fish and share his love of fishing with his family. He attributes his love of cars to his Father who helped him build his first vehicle, a 1957 Chevy pickup, which he still owns and continues to modify and enjoy.

He says with all that with all that he has done in his life so far, his greatest accomplishments are his family and kids and hopes to be the Father to his family that his Father was to him. We are very happy to have Chris on board with us here at H.I.S. Automotive and look forward to a great future with him on our team.
